Retrieving Print Jobs from the Group User Box (Konica Minolta Bizhub 958)
The Group User Box allows secure storage of your print jobs until you are ready to release them at the printer.
Follow these steps to retrieve your documents safely:
Step 1 – Approach the Printer
Go to the nearest Konica Minolta Bizhub 958 multifunction printer.
Step 2 – Enter Your Authentication Code
- On the printer’s touch screen, select the option to log in or enter authentication code.
- Type in your assigned code. This step ensures only authorized users can access the print jobs.
Warning: Never share your authentication code. It is tied to your account and print history.
Step 3 – Access the User Box
- After logging in, tap the User Box button on the touch screen.
- Navigate to the list of available boxes.
Step 4 – Select the Group User Box
From the list of User Boxes:
- Choose the Group User Box associated with your department or account.
- Confirm you are in the correct box before proceeding.
Step 5 – Find and Select Your Document
- Inside the Group User Box, locate your document from the job list.
- Tap the document name to select it.
Tip: If multiple jobs appear, check the date/time stamp or username details to ensure you’re selecting the correct file.
Step 6 – Print Your Document
- With the correct document highlighted, press Print.
- Choose any print settings (number of copies, duplex, color options) if prompted.
- Press Start to begin printing.
Step 7 – Log Out
Once your print job is complete:
- Tap the Logout or Access/End button on the touch screen.
- This step prevents others from accessing your account or documents.
Info: Logging out is critical for protecting both your documents and district data.
Troubleshooting
- Forgot your code? Contact IT to have it reset.
- Don’t see your document? Ensure it was sent to the correct Group User Box. Try re-sending the job with the proper settings.
- Printer errors? Check the display for low toner, paper jams, or tray selection issues before contacting IT.
