Best Practices
- Frequency: Wipe Chromebooks at least weekly; more often if shared. Clean Newline panels as needed (avoid daily scrubbing to preserve coatings).
- Cloth Care: Wash microfiber cloths regularly to prevent buildup of dirt/oils that can scratch screens.
- Stubborn Marks: For fingerprints or smudges, dampen a cloth with a 50/50 mix of distilled water and isopropyl alcohol (70%).
- Do a Final Dry Wipe: Always finish with a dry microfiber cloth to remove streaks.
Reminder: Never let students apply cleaning products directly. Staff should handle device cleaning, especially with disinfectants.
