Wildix Call Groups: Send a Voice Announcement
Use this guide to drop a quick voice announcement to a Call Group (e.g., District Office—or DO + Head Start). The message plays for all phones in that group.
Quick Reference
- Feature Code:71 then press Send (or the green call button)
- Groups:1 = DO Only | 6 = DO + Head Start
Send an Announcement (Step-by-Step)
- On your Wildix phone, dial 71 and press Send.
- When prompted for the calling group, enter:
- 1 for DO Only, or
- 6 for DO + Head Start.
- Press # to confirm the group.
- You will hear a single beep. Wait 1–2 seconds after the beep, then begin speaking clearly.
- When finished, simply hang up. Your message will deliver to the selected group.
Pro Tips
- Lead-in: After the beep, give a quick beat (“…two, one…”) before speaking so the very first word isn’t clipped.
- Identify yourself & target: Start with “This is [Your Name] for [Group] …”
- Keep it tight: Aim for 10–20 seconds with the key action first (who/what/when/where).
- Noise matters: Speak close to the handset in a quiet area for best clarity.
Troubleshooting
- No beep? Re-dial 71, confirm you entered the correct group (1 or 6), then press #.
- People didn’t hear the first words? Wait a full 1–2 seconds after the beep before speaking.
- Wrong group? Hang up and repeat the steps with the correct group number.
- Still not working? Open a Helpdesk ticket with your phone extension and the time you attempted the call.
