Creating and Pinning an App.
The following guide will help you to turn an ordinary webpage into an app that you can pin to your taskbar for easy access.
- Open the Microsoft Edge web browser and navigate
to the site you want to pin. (For this example, I will be using the school
district’s website.
- Click on the three dots noted by the red circle.
- Click on the Apps menu to expand it.
- Click on: Install this site as an app.
(Certain sites like YouTube and Spotify will have the site’s name rather than “this site”) - Give your new app a friendly name and click the install
button.
- The last popup will appear, and here you will
want to make sure there is a check mark in the box next to Pin to Taskbar, then
click allow.
- You will now see the sites icon pinned to your
taskbar and you may re-arrange it by clicking and holding, then dragging it to
the spot you want.
