🛠️ Stop the Brisk Pop-Ups!

Keep using Brisk Teaching — just stop the random “What are you teaching next?” page from appearing.

âś… Works on Windows 11 + Chrome
Why this happens: Brisk’s “Ideas for Today” reminder automatically opens the full dashboard. You can turn it off in 2 minutes without losing any features.
STEP 1

Turn off daily reminders inside Brisk

  1. Right-click the Brisk icon in your Chrome toolbar → choose Pin
  2. Click the Brisk icon to open the side panel
  3. In the top-right corner, click the gear icon ⚙️ or your profile picture
  4. Turn OFF anything that says:
Daily Ideas • Ideas for Today • Brisk Next reminders • Show dashboard on launch
💡 Pro tip: If you don’t see the gear, just click around the top-right area of the panel — the setting is usually hidden there.
STEP 2

Remove any keyboard shortcut that might be triggering it

1. Press Ctrl + Shift + J
2. Paste this and press Enter:
chrome://extensions/shortcuts
3. Search for “Brisk”
4. Click the pencil icon next to any shortcut → press Backspace to clear it

This stops accidental hotkeys from opening the full page.

STEP 3

Block the dashboard from auto-popping

  1. Go to Chrome Settings → Privacy and security → Site settings
  2. Under Pop-ups and redirects → set to “Don’t allow…”
    Add to Block:https://app.briskteaching.com
  3. Under Notifications → block:
    briskteaching.com app.briskteaching.com

⚡ Quick habits that stop 90% of pop-ups

📌
Unpin the Brisk icon when you’re not using it
(right-click → Unpin)
🖱️
Always open Brisk by clicking the toolbar icon
Never click “Brisk Next” or “Ideas” buttons
🎉

You’re all set!

The random “What are you teaching next?” page should never appear again.
All Brisk features (sidebar, Quick Create, etc.) still work perfectly.

If it ever happens again, just repeat Step 1 — takes 20 seconds.
Made for Alinari’s amazing teachers ❤️
